Returning Student Profiles

Rimbey Elementary School - Returning Student Profile for New Students AND Returning Students:

All LEGAL parents/guardians of registered students, returning as well as new this year, that have a Parent Portal account, at Rimbey Elementary received an email with instructions regarding registering and verifying/updating student/parent information online for each student through School Engage. This is a yearly Alberta Education requirement.

School Engage is a communication tool that interacts between students, parents and school. Key functionality includes on-line forms that provide a user-friendly means to register new students, complete forms for existing students as well as validate and update current information on file.

School Engage provides greater accessibility and flexibility for parents to register their children, update information, as well as complete forms required by the school or district. There are new permission and information sections included on these forms and it is very important that parents complete, make any changes and submit/return the forms immediately.  Should you not have access to a device for online submission, please visit the school office where we have a kiosk computer available to use for your convenience. Please note, that you will need your parent portal log on information. The School Engage form for updating may also be accessed directly through your existing Parent Portal account. Upon signing into Parent Portal you will select “School Engage” from the list of applications on the left side of the screen.  The system will display a notification in the top right side of the screen and by clicking on the notification you will be directed to the contents of the Student Demographic Update form where you can begin to edit and submit upon completions.  There are no “paper copies” available for completion. Only the LEGAL parent/guardian may update the information and return to the school. Email reminders will continue to be sent until online forms have been submitted.  This is a yearly Alberta Education requirement (not optional).

As always, if you have any specific concerns of an urgent nature regarding your child (i.e. medical concerns, custody concerns), please contact your child’s teacher to make aware of the situation or the school administration.  The student profile updated forms take time to process so it’s best that the teacher/office has this information as situations or changes to student/parent data occur.
